BHARAT RATNA

In the last one month there is lot of debate about deserving candidates for the Bharat Ratna award. From Sachin Tendulkar to Mulayam Singh Yadav, from Atal Bihari Vajpayee to M.F.Hussain. Just think of the list of people who have been given this award and those who really contributed greatly to this country and to the world and left out of any debate for this award.
Let us look at the award winners so far:

How many of them you know through their achievements? Who in the present generation will fit the list?
According to me even in the list mentioned above, few won the award, either while living or posthumously, have not really contributed enough to humanity deserving the highest award in our country. Therefore in future, not before the Republic Day celebrations, there must be an on going debate on identifying the deserving candidates. It is not the Government's job. It is the job of the educated, conscientious population of the country. To get into a debate and bring the recommendations to the committe. It is not the job of the politicians. Join me in posting names day to day.
