Every patriotic Indian must strongly condemn the sexploits, the atrocities, the so called teachers have committed on their humble girl students at DIET, Patan. But, stop!, the society at large also needs a very strong condemnation. We the educated and the illiterates all have become so insensitive and inhuman, that nothing really matters. What matters most is our business of making money and enjoying the comforts of life. It could be our own daughters tomorrow. It appears, even then we will not bother and we will just carry on. In the name of patience, we are becoming more and more tolerant to atrocities. All these begin as small and simple crimes in our every day life. Our tolerance is already leading us to the slow and steady destruction of our heritage and culture. Some day we will all be dead leaving behing a life time of shame and criminality.

There has been lots of debate on this subject. In parties, get togethers, on the roadside and the tea shop etc., Media too has not left it. There is a series of debates on a TV channel. And the participants, the common man and the VIPs expressing their views in multicolor, multiemotional dimension. I just could not understand, what all these debates are about? Are they really necessary? It is the constitutional right of every Indian to live anywhere in India. Do work and earn. Entering into debates is acknowledging the right to prevent the common man's rights. Let us not get into any debates. Let us hold the state and central government responsible for the welfare of each Indian. May be there can be a debate on who is more responsible, the state or the center? Whoever is responsible, the guilty must be punished.

Hotel Collapses

Hotel Shakun, Just opposit Kalupur station - that is Ahmedabad junction, crumbles down like a pack of cards, without a quake on the earth. Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation has declared the building as unfit for human occupation. The branch of a nationalized bank shifted it's premises 4-5 days ago, sensing the danger on cards. The owner of the hotel Gaurang Jani knew it all. But yet his greed for money killed a few and injured several. As on today I see that the real truth is yet to be revealed. From the Information I have 5 from Tamilnadu had died in the accident. 4 textile businessmen who have come to Ahmedabad for some machinery purchase and one sales employee of a private company.

Pradeep Modi and his wife Mayuri came from Vadodara to buy a house and settle down in Ahmedabad. Pradeep died on the way to the hospital and his wife Mayuri is alive with spinal injuries. Just Imagine, Modi's parents donated his eyes to Sharadaben Hospital before taking body back home. They performed a commendable deed. They too live on the same earth where the greedy Gaurang Jani lives. Jani must feel ashamed and his own family must excommunicate him.

If anyone has more information please share it on the comments page.

What really worries me about all these stories of kidneys racket is not that such people like Amit, (I would not like to say Doctor Amit) or Santosh Raut or whatever his real name is, exist. But the fact that such people can carry on for so long without getting caught. For tens of years even after criminal cases have been made against them and judment or punishment is pending against them. What does it speak about our systems - particularly the police and then the judiciary. Are they really doing what they are expected to do and do on time.

I read a news item in one of the Tamil Newspapers that Chota Shakeel knew about Sanjay's kidney games and has demanded 25 crores, in order to not inform the police. But our police force did not know anything about this. They thought he was an industrialist. Does it not sound like a child's story?

We as law abiding, true citizens of our motherland, need to wake up to such issues. This can be done by developing a high level of sensitivity to our surroundings, expanding this to our town or city, forming citizens' forums and pulling up the departments responsible. We, the true patriotic citizens of the country need to respond.
